This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including but not limited to promoting animal welfare, supporting pet retention efforts, providing direct assistance to animal owners in need, and offering public education and community outreach.

First Pet Foundations

First Pet Foundations is an education program designed to prepare families, especially children, for the responsibility of pet ownership. Through live workshops, interactive learning, and individualized starter kits, we help families make informed decisions before bringing home their first animal. Each participant earns a Pet Pal Certificate and gains access to lifetime support from our team. By prioritizing education, we aim to reduce pet surrenders, promote empathy, and build healthier, more prepared homes for animals and the people who love them.

Bentley’s Bridge

When life takes an unexpected turn, Bentley’s Bridge helps keep families and their pets together. This emergency voucher program offers short-term financial support for pet care during crises like domestic violence, housing instability, or hospitalization. We work directly with shelters and boarding providers to ensure animals are safe, while their people get the help they need.

The Caretaker Circle

Not all fosters are affiliated with a rescue or shelter; some open their homes on their own, with no outside support. The Caretaker Circle was created to help independent fosters who take in animals out of compassion but lack access to resources like food, litter, or emergency vet care. We offer assistance to bridge that gap so animals stay safe, and caregivers don’t have to choose between helping and making ends meet.
